About Me

Christie Myers began her journey into yoga through the lens of fitness and weight loss around 2009. As she began to have a steady physical practice she quickly realized that yoga goes much deeper than having a fit body! She practiced in Ashtanga style for most of her early years, focusing on a deep connection with the staccato movement of poses linked to each breath. After attending Wanderlust Yoga Festival in West Virginia in 2017, Christie’s yoga practice began to shift. She found a deeper interest in meditative practices and felt a calling to start looking for a new place to study with a teacher. She found herself traveling to Loveland, Ohio to Sangha Yoga Studio to study with Becky Morrissey. She attended the 200hr EmbodiYoga & Somatics Teacher Training with Becky Morrissey and Lisa Clark and graduated in 2018. That was followed by her 300hr Teacher Training with Becky Morrissey and graduated in October 2019 to complete her RYT® 500. She has also trained with Becky in three Pranayama Teacher Trainings and two 60hr Trauma Sensitive Yoga training’s.
Christie plans to continue studying Pranayama, Anatomy, Somatics, Trauma Sensitive Yoga and will be a student for life.


Christie is the type of person that you always looked for having in your life. That person that you can always count on; that person that will go out of their way to make sure that you’re happy; that person that you want to wake up and see every day. That person that has so much compassion for all things living and life itself; that person that emits so much strength and gives you something to strive for. She’s my love, my rock, my soulmate. Without her, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. Thank you for always pushing me to be better for myself, and the rest of the world.

I’ve known Christie her entire life. As her older sister, I have watched her grow from a little sprout into a beautiful lotus. We have gone through many things together, and through it all, we’ve always been there for one another.

Christie has a way of making me think just a little bit differently and creatively. She always encourages me to step outside of my comfort zone, to explore the things just beyond reach – especially, and most importantly, on our road trips and adventures together. (We have so much fun together, too!) Approaching everything with a sense of curiosity, her passion for yoga is inspiring. I love her dearly, as my little seestar, my best friend, and my fellow-weirdo. She understands me like nobody else does and I am so excited for her as she embarks on her journey!
